«East-Rock-2014» - multi-camera broadcast for 10 cities of Ukraine

In the days of Ukraine's independence and Flag team of Monolog, newly formed Laboratory of internet television and screen arts of Sumy State University and experts from Sumy RSBC were working at full rock power.

Despite the weekend, the team organized a two-day music TV multi-camera broadcast of the festival «East-Rock», which was held in Trostyanets with the support of the City Council. On the first day were: «Vicious», «Laskovye usy» («Tender mustache»), «40 Eridana», «Barakhta», «Masa prychyn» («Mass of the reasons»), «Fіole», «Fontaliza», «Tartak» and «Antytila» («Antibodies»). The second - «The Eighth Day», «Without Limits», «Lumiere», «7 Dials Mystety», «ETSETERA», «DMC», «VIPS», «O.Torvald», «TNMK» and «Boombox». By the way, on August 24 performances lasted almost until morning.

The whole crew was excited, but not only with the festival, but also with their work. This time, there were many students who first tried his hand as operators or presenters. Everyone worked hard. From the stage were made announcements about our work and appreciations that all very inspiring. A two-day marathon is got through. Since working without shifts, of course, all were tired. But thanks to the work of professional team together with newcomers shooting met all the requirements of television broadcasting.

Separate and special thanks to Rector of SSU professor Anatoly Vasilyev for providing substantial support. After all, without the support of the rector, the broadcast would not be possible.

Trostyanets continued Sumy television experiment, because in the broadcast mode, the recording was carried out on 10 TV channels in Ukraine (Zaporozhye, Cherkasy, Sumy and 7 television channels in Kiev and Poltava region). During the week, the material has been processed and published (unfortunately, live coverage was banned by the organizers).

As a result of this work partners planned a seminar dedicated to the creative and technological aspects of live multi-camera music broadcasts. This seminar was held for the television companies in Ukraine in Sumy on the basis of SSU. Now, after the success of the festival «East-Rock» partners have the right for this initiative.
